Arshia Azad
Died July 1995
Arshia, I only knew you a short time but felt like we were friends forever. Every time I hear a guitar play I think of you. Arshia died in a motorcycle accident while a medical resident in New York. He was wearing a helmet. Many people cried the day of his death; his mother, father, sister and friends. But we can take solace in the knowledge that he is happy and safe now, in the hands of God. Arshia, I miss you Philip Barone

Thanks for being a loving parent, a teacher and friend.

Who ever thought that underneath such rare beauty lies a deep dark sadness in your heart. We at the law faculty have always thought of you as a sweet and funny eccentric guy, Amel, but your habit of being extremely quiet and joking around a lot had made us blind as to the pain that you were suffering from.

Amel, you always cheered us up with your silly short movies when we were stressed with our assignments. You always took photos of the people in class for no reason, but we enjoyed posing for you because the pictures came out unique and dramatic. We're sorry that we couldn't help you feel happy the way you had made us happy.

Goodbye, Amel... we pray that Allah will be more forgiving and that He will accept you in His Light.
